A custom-designed playing card series inspired by four major ancient Latin American civilizations: Aztec, Olmec, Inca, and Maya. Each suit—Spades, Clubs, Hearts, and Diamonds—represents one civilization, incorporating themes of their gods, rituals, and cultural symbolism. The designs reinterpret traditional playing card elements through the lens of each culture’s mythology and visual style, blending historical research with modern illustration.

Red Hearts – Mayan Civilization
The Mayans believed deeply in the afterlife. Priests were powerful figures, and death was a key part of their religion. The red heart suit represents Ah Puch, the god of death. He was both feared and respected. People made sacrifices to him and mourned loudly at funerals to protect souls from his torture.

Blue Spades – Aztec Civilization
The Aztecs worshipped many gods, and Tlaloc, the god of rain, was one of the most important. He brought the water they needed to survive. To honor him, they gave offerings, prayed, and danced—hoping he would send rain to bless their crops.

Yellow Clubs – Inca Civilization
The Inca valued community above all. Their king figure was Viracocha, the god of everything. Everyone, no matter their gender, had a role in helping society. There were no strict gender roles—everyone worked together. Food and supplies were shared equally so the whole community could thrive.
